Xylitol at CIOSP 2009, Brazil

On the 24th–28th January 2009, the CIOSP event was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Over 36,000 dentists and oral health professionals from all over Brazil and South America visited the event and Xylitol was present on one of the stands.

Promoting Oral Health with Xylitol

A continuous stream of visitors came to the stand to learn more about Xylitol and its unique dental benefits, which include:

• helping to prevent tooth decay
• inhibiting plaque growth, and
• enhancing remineralisation. 

Among the visitors there was a high level of recognition of Xylitol as a key ingredient in oral health products including sugar free confectionery, toothpaste and mouthwash. 

“We are very enthusiastic about Xylitol's future in South America. All of the visitors to the stand recognised the added value of products containing Xylitol, which is a real evolution", said a Xylitol spokesperson.
