"HEALTHY SOLUTIONS" Explores Xylitol and the Fight Against Tooth Decay

     Emmy-Winning actress, Mariette Hartley hosts an upcoming episode of "Healthy Solutions," the half-hour television program that explores the most important issues and topics related to America's health and well being. The program includes a special report entitled, Sweetener Helps Fight Tooth Decay, which explores the health benefits of Xylitol -announced Rod Godfrey of TV Interactive, one of the show's Executive Producers. "Even with the use of fluoride, tooth decay is a common problem," said Patty Elliott, Co-Executive Producer of the series.  "Recently, dental researchers have identified a naturally occurring sweetener, Xylitol, as a helpful ingredient in the fight against tooth decay.  With Xylitol, people can chew gum and fight cavities at the same time."
